Project... Help Needed!

I have been collecting our old jeans for years and have finally decided to make a jean quilt with the squares. But then I went online and found all the amazing jean quilts made in the Cathedral Windows pattern. So I spent all day cutting my 6" squares into circles. So I have 200 circles. But now it is not nearly enough to make a full size quilt with, I only have enough to make it about 4 1/2' x 4 1/2'. Dang. So I am asking anyone nearby or in driving distance if they have any holey old jeans that they are planning on throwing out to save them for me!! Anybody? Anybody?

Here is an example of the pattern I am making.. It looks hard but really fun. I won't have to tie it or do a batting or anything. And it's cute!

P.S. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I'm finishing a jean quilt project, and if I have any left, you can have them :)

That's so pretty. Mine are just the boring squares, but we go through them fast enough that that's all I can do.

What a cool quilt! I'll see what I can scrounge up and we'll bring it next week.

She forgot to say that she wants all parts of the old jeans except not the "butt part" of the jeans. Thank you very much.

I've got some you are welcome to. My sister just made a jean quilt for her son and she put out an add on freecycle and got so many jeans from people she made two quilts, so that's something you could try too. That's a really neat pattern too btw.

I absolutely applaud your ambition. It only took me 6 years to finish my denim quilt, start to finish. I used handwritten instructions from Grandma Green and I'm positive it didn't turn out the way her instructions intended...but it was finished. I wish you a more speedy completion!! I hoarded old jeans for years, I would have sent them to you gladly!

I have tons-- you are welcome to them all. I have always had good intentions to make another levi quilt and that is not going to happen in my lifetime.
