We went for a walk up city creek trail last Monday for family night. We went with our neighbors, including Ian's little best friend. They are so funny together, you can notice all the dirt and leaves on their clothes. They had a blast finding rocks, sticks, leaves, seeds, anything dirty and anything that they could throw into the creek. It got dark a lot earlier than we imagined it would and had to hurry back to the car. But it's almost impossible to hurry those two because they wanted to investigate every tree and side trail the whole way back.
In other news Eliza turns 7 months old next week and has always hated food. She gags on the baby food as soon as it touches her tongue. She has been known to spit out every little bit of food given to her. As soon as she sees the spoon coming she clamps her little mouth shut and turns away. Most little babies like the pureed fruits, but nothing was good enough for her. For the last couple weeks I decided just to give her table foods, little bits of what we were eating so she could play with them and just get used to having food and flavors in her mouth. I think it must be working because yesterday she actually swallowed a few bites of rice cereal! I am glad because her eating foods takes a little pressure off me so that I might be able to leave her longer than an hour at a time without worrying that she will starve! Plus she is looking really tall and thin lately, she weighed 14#14ozs at her 6 month check up while Ian was over 16# at his 6 month mark. So hopefully she will eat a few bites today as well!

I can't believe how big she is! What a pretty little girl. Good luck with the eating...Each kid tries you with something...It is so much fun figureing out how to handle each one! I'm still trying to figure out mine.
Great pic of Ian and Carter. They are such funny little boys! Yay for Eliza!! I hope this takes some stress of you too!!
I miss you all. Have you ever since such beautiful eyes on a girl? And Ian looks like pure fun.
Eliza DOES have beautiful eyes. They are so sweet. I am glad to know that you have had success with the eating-- Luke has done the same thing-- he scrunches up his nose more than any kid I have ever seen and he blows the rice cereal all over me after he gets it in his mouth.
It was fun to see you guys!! Thanks again for coming!
Cute picts! Eliza's eyes are pretty and they look just like yours!
Eliza is so cute. I can't believe she's already that old... you've slacked on picture updates of her. :)
I love fall. The little tree our our front door is bright red right now. I LOVE IT!!
Hmmm. Looks like you are feeding her from the table with a sling shot!
What great pictures. I love the picture of Ian and his fried with the leaves. Looks like good clean fun. I also like your new format. Looks good!
